Auckland Jet Sport Association offers competition, recreational & family memberships to anyone interested in the PWC Sport. Membership is not limited to Auckland, and we currently have members from Tauranga, Hamilton, Taupo, Whangaparoa as well as an International Rider based in the USA.

We are looking into holding more Jet Ski social rides in Auckland, please check the messages and events sections of this website regularly to see what is going on.

The Auckland Jet Sport Association participates & hosts Jet Ski racing events in both the North Island Summer Tour (Short Course) and the North Island Winter Tour (Endurance), as well as hosting it's own club series over the Summer Period. The Club series usually consists of 4 short course racing events held at Lake Wahi, Maraetai Beach & the Pauanui Inlet. The club is based out of Mt Richmond Yacht Club, and hosts an annual prize giving & AGM in early winter.

To race Jet Ski's, you will need to be a member of both a club (AJSA) and hold an NZJSBA race licence. Once you join up as a member of the club, you can fill out a NZJSBA license form at the next race. (or you can buy a day licence at each race event for $10) if you want to "try before you buy"!!

What you need to race Jetski's. You must have a vest which is PFD type one or three (it will say), a wetsuit, suitable footware, regulation helmet and fire extinguisher. You also need a tow rope and a loop on the front of your ski to attach it.

AJSA Subscriptions are $60 for individual membership & $110 for family membership.

Membership - 1st November 2008 to 31st October 2009 (Due 1st November) Summer Series runs from November - March. Winter Series runs from April - September.

If you are a member of NZJSBA you can ask to be added to the 'Email Exchange' database. You will receive emails, usually every month or more, about upcoming races and events etc. These emails are usually posted on the nzjetsport website.

In 1999, a Auckland Regional Council Bylaw was passed requiring all personal watercraft (PWC) used in Auckland's waters to registered. However NZ Jetsport Association members may continue to display their association number, matching their ranking. The official ARC number will be linked to their craft through the Jetsport Association.

The AJSA is a NZJSBA affiliated club in New Zealand
