The Auckland Jet Sport Association offers competition, recreational & family memberships to anyone interested in the PWC Sport. Membership is not limited to Auckland, and we currently have members from Tauranga, Hamilton, Taupo, and Whangaparoa.

The AJSA’s focus is both PWC Jet Ski social events in the Auckland region and supporting the national competition scene. Please check back often to see what is going on.

The Auckland Jet Sport Association participates & hosts PWC racing events in both the North Island Summer Tour (Short Course) and the North Island Winter Tour (Endurance) series, as well as hosting it’s own club events over the Summer Period.

To race your personal watercraft, you will need to be a member of both a club (AJSA) and hold an NZJSBA race licence. Once you join up as a member of the club, you can fill out a NZJSBA license form at the next race. (or you can buy a day licence at each race event for $20 – 1st is free) if you want to “try before you buy”!!

Equipment you need is as follows. You must have a vest which is PFD type one (I) or three (III), a wetsuit, suitable footware, regulation helmet and fire extinguisher. You also need a tow rope and a loop on the front of your ski to attach to it.

AJSA Subscriptions are $60 for individual membership & $90 for family membership. We also off a social membership for $30. This is solely for non-racing social members.

In 1999, a Auckland Regional Council Bylaw was passed requiring all personal watercraft (PWC) used in Auckland’s waters to registered. However NZ Jetsport Association members may continue to display their association number, matching their ranking. The official ARC number will be linked to their craft through the NZ Jetsport Association.
